Libertarians
Sweet, simple libertarians To earth you are contrarians. Lost, but well meaning And always they are dreaming About a thing that never was. Or enviously scheming To secure another loan Just so they could be alone Watching Joe Rogan, and reading Hayek In the comfort of some middle-class cul-de-sac. And with brave wings thought above Often proudly they will mock A blood thick brotherhood of love Forged on such a savage rock. Sweet, simple libertarians To nature you are contrarians. How will you achieve the grounds Of a freedom that knows no bounds? We welcome you to earth And please excuse our mirth When we laugh at your surprise And the look within your eyes When you discover like the dawn What planet you are on. Sweet, simple libertarians To the world you are contrarians. Economics is least and easy And often rather sleezy. But for Marxists in reverse The free market will break the curse Of all their thought can be And all their eyes can see. They have money on the brain All else is but a drain. But there is so much that is bigger So for them it can be fun To imagine fingers on the trigger Of a single loaded shotgun.
